By downloading, installing, activating, or using the BlueFeed for WordPress plugin (hereinafter referred to as the “Plugin”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not install or use the Plugin.
The Plugin is a WordPress plugin that allows website owners to display Bluesky social media feeds on their WordPress-powered websites. The Plugin fetches and renders publicly available content from the Bluesky network for display purposes.
The Plugin is free and open-source software released under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later (GPL-2.0+). You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the Plugin in accordance with the terms of the GPL-2.0+ license. A copy of the license is included with the Plugin and is also available at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html.
This means you are free to use the Plugin for any purpose, study how the Plugin works and modify it, redistribute copies of the Plugin, and distribute copies of your modified versions to others. Any modified versions of the Plugin must also be released under the GPL-2.0+ license.
The Plugin does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data from you or your website visitors. No user information is sent to third-party servers by the Plugin itself.
The Plugin retrieves publicly available content from the Bluesky network via its public API. This data retrieval is limited to fetching feed content for display and does not involve any transfer of your personal data or the personal data of your website visitors.
The Plugin does not use any tracking technologies, analytics, or telemetry of its own. It does not set any cookies beyond the standard operational cookies used by WordPress itself.
The Plugin does not set, read, or manage any cookies of its own. Your WordPress installation may use standard operational cookies (such as session cookies, authentication cookies, and other cookies required for normal WordPress functionality). These cookies are managed by WordPress core and are not within the scope or control of the Plugin. Please refer to the WordPress privacy documentation and your own site’s privacy policy for details on WordPress cookies.
The Plugin connects to the Bluesky network via its publicly available API to retrieve feed content. By using the Plugin, you acknowledge that the display of Bluesky content on your website is subject to Bluesky’s own Terms of Service and policies. The Plugin developer is not responsible for the content retrieved from Bluesky, the availability or performance of the Bluesky API, or any changes Bluesky may make to its API, terms, or content policies.
THE PLUGIN IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PLUGIN IS WITH YOU.
The Plugin developer does not warrant that the Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with all WordPress versions, themes, or other plugins.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PLUGIN DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLUGIN, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. In such jurisdictions, the limitations set forth above shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Plugin is the original work of its developer and is licensed under the GPL-2.0+. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced in the Plugin (including “Bluesky,” “WordPress,” and any associated logos) are the property of their respective owners. The use of these names is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
As a user of the Plugin, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Plugin and the display of Bluesky content on your website complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, maintaining your own website’s privacy policy and cookie notice as required by applicable law, ensuring that the Plugin is kept up to date to benefit from any bug fixes or improvements, and providing appropriate disclosures to your website visitors regarding any third-party content displayed via the Plugin.
The Plugin developer may, at their sole discretion, provide updates, bug fixes, or support for the Plugin. There is no obligation to provide ongoing support, maintenance, or updates. The Plugin developer reserves the right to discontinue development of the Plugin at any time.
The Plugin developer reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective when the updated terms are published alongside the Plugin. Your continued use of the Plugin after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions periodically.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Plugin developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact the Plugin developer through the Plugin’s official repository or support channels.
